Member Benefits

To achieve its core mission of 'Improving Member Welfare', CBP strongly commits to providing various benefit schemes to members. The CBP Member Benefit Scheme is divided into a number of specific schemes that focuses on the purpose and needs of individual members.

The schemes provided are as follows :

Note: Benefits are on a one-off basis except for the Hospital Allowance Scheme

Each individual member who wishes to apply for this scheme must meet the following main conditions:

  1. Has a minimum share balance of RM1,000.00; and
  2. Has been a CBP member for at least 2 consecutive years; or
  3. Financing account must not be overdue for more than 3 months (if any)
Total Benefit RM1,500.00 (one-off) - For all causes of Death / Permanent Disability
Additional Eligibility Requirements

  1. The application must be made within a period of not more than three (3) months from the date of death or the date of permanent disability of the member by the legal representative or next of kin by submitting the application form and the necessary supporting documents.

  2. Applications caused by AIDS and anything related to the behavior and actions of the members themselves are not eligible for consideration.

  3. Deaths contrary to Islamic principles such as death due to intentional injury, intoxication, drugs, suicide and the like are not eligible for consideration.

  4. For individuals who are Disqualified as Members (UUK 20 (1)), Withdrawal (UUK 22 (1), (2), (3), (5) and Suspension & Termination of Members (UUK 23) are not eligible to apply.
Total Benefit RM20.00 / Day - Up to a maximum of RM600.00 / 30 Days
Additional Eligibility Requirements

  1. Has been admitted to a government hospital or any recognized hospital not due to the following medical treatment:

    1. Psychiatric; or
    2. Self -inflicted injury / poisoning; or
    3. Under the influence of alcohol or dangerous drugs; or
    4. Any type of venereal disease; or
    5. Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).

     

  2. Members must make an application within 30 days from the date of discharge from the hospital by enclosing a copy of the hospital treatment bill and a copy of the medical certificate that has been certified by the hospital.

  3. If the applicant receives treatment in a hospital for more than 30 consecutive days, it must submit a medical report issued by the hospital when it makes the application for this assistance.

  4. Each member is eligible for this assistance only once during the period of his membership.

Total Benefits

RM500.00 (one-off) - Based on a list of critical illnesses

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  1. Members have been admitted to government hospitals or any recognized hospital due to undergoing treatment / surgery for a listed critical illness.

  2. Members must make an application within 30 days from the date of discharge from the hospital by enclosing a copy of the hospital treatment bill and a copy of the medical certificate that has been certified by the hospital.

  3. Each member is eligible for this assistance only once during the period of his membership.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  1. Assistance is provided for the following needs:

    • Residential house fire.
    • Destruction of property due to natural disasters.
    • Assistance for schooling and education of children due to loss of source of income, loss of employment, illness and accidents.
    • Other urgent & reasonable requirements eligible to be considered by CBP.

     

  2. Each member is eligible for this assistance only once during the period of his membership.

    DETAILS SPM EXCELLENCE AWARD
    Total Scholarship RM1,000.00 (one-off)
    Additional Eligibility Requirements

    1. Obtained excellent results with a minimum of 8A+.

    2. Offer valid for members children only.

    3. No limit on total household income.

    4. Opens every year after the SPM examination results are announced for the current year only.

    5. There is no limit to the number of applicants per year.
  2. Bachelor's Degree Excellence Award: :
    DETAILS BACHELOR'S DEGREE EXCELLENCE AWARD
    Total Scholarship RM1,500.00 (one-off) 
    Additional Eligibility Requirements

    1. Has been awarded a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.67 from a local and foreign Institute of Higher Learning recognized by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).

    2. Offer valid for children of members only.

    3. No limit on total household income.

    4. Open all-year-round to applicants who have graduated in the current year.

    5. The offer is open to graduates of any field of study and only for full-time study.

    6. Each recipient of this scheme is only eligible to receive this benefit once during their GST membership.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  1. Individuals who have reached the period of 20 year as CBP members on an ongoing basis.

  2. Effective from 1 January 2019, this consolation money will only be given after the member has been approved to quit his membership or has passed away.

  3. Each member is eligible for this prize only once during their membership period.
